Time for another "watzat"

Just when you thought I had forgotten. This item fits on a bookshelf, but it has a function greater than ornamental. Start guessing.
So how has your New Year started off? The site of my favorite blog Princess requested participants state a dozen goals for the year of 2006. How about you? Have you made any resolutions?

I think you store your pen in it. Like an ink well, not that anyone uses those anymore. It's heavy and funcions as a paper weight too.

It's a fertility icon that lost its head.

I am afraid to answer, especially since my guess makes Lorna's guess particularly uncomfortable. Oh, what the hey. It looks like some sort of carved figurine that would be sitting if you turned him over. But surely you wouldn't post something like that.

It appears to be made of clay, so I am guessing it is some sort of old tool. However, I have no clue ...

Why, it is clearly a rear view of an kneeling Andean butt flute!!

I too, thought a pen holder, after I thought a lot of other things I won't type here.

You people, honestly! It is made of clay and it is a musical instrument. But the sound does not come from a structure resembling the buttocks! Really! I'm shocked.
