What in the universe?

This was one rough day at work. We tried remedying a problem (for our department) caused by another department. We spent hours on this. And then a representative of the other department did just the opposite of what we had agreed on, and many teachers had their course materials disappear. We were furious. This little corner of the universe is not perfect, I am here to attest.

That's SIR to you, buddyWell, what in the universe could this object be? Yes, it resides in my study, quite prominently, I must say. When you make your guess, you must also describe what you plan to do for Hallowe'en. A group of us are going to a cornfield maze. At night. Wearing costumes (well, some of us--the fun-loving ones). Hmm, is this "watzat" connected to Hallowe'en?

Hmm... Well, it resembles a paleolithic rendering of the Kellogs Corn Flakes Rooster. Maybe its an itchy chicken shirt.

Halloween is my wedding anniversary. Of course!

Don't know for sure if I will be coming to the corn maze. 1. Hugely allergic to corn and 2. have previous commitment that I may abandon my spouse to attend alone. Or not. Don't know yet.

Had a really cool costume idea. However, it would be highly impractical for eating and mazing in. Not sure what I will do. Might wimp out and just wear motorcycle leathers or something.

This is way more information than you wanted, eh? I tend to babble when fraught with indecision.

A macaroni rooster where all of the macaroni has fallen off leaving just dried elmers glue on the collage?

I am not going to the maze.

I'm guessing its a sun worshipers design on some sort of animal hide ... yup, that's what I'm guessing.

Oooohh! I just realized, it is the head of a horse or some sort of similar animal. Perhaps a depiction of the horsemen of the apacolypse. I just enjoy saying the horsement of the apacolypse.

As for Halloween, I am going to my Sunday school party dressed as Pilot, or some other Roman bigwhig. I stole the idea from Splineguy.

It looks like a cool wall hanging. A textile of some sort with a painting on it?

Halloween? Skipping it. Friend is having surgery. Will be posing as nurse but not trick or treating.

Welcome to the blogsite, Captainwow. Yours is the closest guess so far. The object does hang on a wall in a frame.

While having surgery on Hallowe'en is the pits, it will be great later on when your friend can say, "See this scar? I got it on Halloween! It was a dark and stormy night . . ."

Oh, and thanks BTW, Jonboy for "horsement of the apacolypse." Too bad this thing doesn't come with spell-check.

What??? You mean you've never heard of a horsement before? Is it a skelital depiction of a horse? Or would that be a depiction of a skelital horse?

Shame on me. Am I the only one that had the first comment twice? Chicken shirt? Please, don't kick me off this blog, I promise to behave from this point on. I'm going to go with some sort of decorated pot for a hanging plant.

Well if it is something that hangs on the wall my guess would be a wall hanging! DUH! I wanna know if you are going to wear it to trick or treat in? And will you and cat trick or treat at my house? I am giving out play dough!!

Wow, I love the idea of handing out Play-Dough© for Halloween! (Just hope the kids don't eat it.) Is it homemade or did you buy samples? Last year we only got about three kids coming by the house. I suggested to Cat that we make a sign saying "Go to the FBC Trunk-a-Treat" and post it on our door.
OK, maybe you will have some semi-scary adults coming by on Halloween. And they might be us.

Chicken Shirt! hee hee hee. Sorta like horsement and skelital.

I have joined the ranks of the easily amused.

What the heck does Hibou mean??? For like the third freakin' time!

(Glad to know Mindy is giving out Play-doh. I think I'll go to her house too!)

How many freakin' times do I have to explain this???? Where are your French-English dictionaries, people? "Hibou" is one of the words for "owl" and the "h" in French is silent. Does the URL of this site suggest any clues? I mean, criminy, do I hafta spell it out for you?

BTW, the Word Verification for this comment was ohuwnwas. That's a Navajo term meaning "When the horse is dead, it is time to dismount."

Well. That is preeety. damn. clever. Yep.

Wouldn't have figured that out in a million years because I have only Spanish/English and Klingon/English dictionaries.

Sheeze, and I just speak mom and english. I never have trick or treaters but I buy so that I can play with it. They had little play doughs in bags of 20. Coolest stuff! And little bags of microwave popcorn. I think I will be a really odd old woman.

wogse is the verification: meaning...the feeling you get immediately after opening mail from the Church.
