New grandfather

I just got news that my oldest son and daughter-in-law had their first child two weeks early. That makes me a first-time grandpa. In another couple of hours, I will be leaving to spend a few days with them. As it turns out, I have been at a conference held about a three-hour drive south of where they live. So all the things I was supposed to do this weekend will just have to be done by someone else. That's grandpa logic, apparently.
